On June 21, 2022 the "Zukunftsforum Gas" took place at the Palais Niederösterreich in Vienna. The trade association Gas Wärme invited to the top event of the energy industry.
The current geopolitical situation once again highlights the importance of a secure and affordable energy supply. In the long term, green gases such as hydrogen and biomethane will increasingly take over the energy supply. For this to happen, the right framework conditions must be created by policymakers for the energy industry and a transformation of the gas sector must be undertaken.
How such a transformation can be implemented was discussed by various stakeholders from politics, science, business, industry and the energy sector. Among them was our RAG expert Markus Kainz, who joined the discussion on the topic "Ready4H2 - How fit is the infrastructure?" and reported on RAG's hydrogen projects (H2EU+Store and USS 2030).
